          STOREFRONT REFUNDS

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT STOREFRONT REFUNDS

WHAT IS THE CHECKLICK FEE FOR REFUNDS?

HOW DO REFUNDS WORK?

There is NO FEE charged to you when you perform a refund.

When a refund is initiated, Checklick refunds the 5% Checklick fee back to your customer and the remaining 95% is pulled from your account and refunded back to the customer. The details about how refunds and transfers work are explained here.

HOW DO I PERFORM A REFUND?

You may want to consider in certain cases to provide future credits for your customer/s. If you retain the initial registration fund and would like to issue a future credit or transfer them to a session later in the year, you can use the transfer function.

WHAT CAN I DO TO MITIGATE MY FINANCIAL RISKS IF CUSTOMERS ARE REQUESTING REFUNDS?

To perform a full or partial refund, follow these steps.

If possible, issue future credits or transfers to another session later in the year

It's critical to remember that although there is no charge to you for issuing refunds, you are responsible for having the funds in your bank account to cover 95% of the refund.

Ensure sufficient bank account balance

HOW CAN I UPDATE MY TERMS OF SERVICE?

If you'd like to modify your terms of service to include changes to your refund policy for any purchases going forward, you can update your terms of service by following these steps.

Checklick works with a processor called Stripe. By using Checklick, you have a Stripe account connected to your Storefront. In the event that your account balance doesn't contain the funds to cover the refund back to your customer, your account balance will go into overdraft and you will be held responsible for the funds.

We strongly encourage that you have sufficient funds in your bank account as both Checklick and Stripe are not responsible for fees that you may incur as a result of an overdraft in your bank account.

To find out how much you will require to cover the cost if all your purchases for 2020 are refunded, you'll want to download the 2020 Storefront revenues reports.

Follow these steps to download the report and note at the bottom of the spreadsheet where "Net Revenue" is displayed.
